Duke 16 Ski Bindings
The Marker Duke 16 blends full-on alpine performance on the downhill with touring performance for the skin up, and has quickly become a staple in freeriders’ and backcountry shredders’ gear closets everywhere. In downhill mode, the Marker Duke 16 mirrors the high-powered Marker Jester 16 with the same burly heel piece and tech. Although it carries a bit more weight, you get a significantly higher DIN range and a burlier feel compared to other hybrid-style bindings on the market. The Duke hybrid-style toe piece transitions from ski mode to uphill mode with just a few snaps. Remove the alpine toe piece to reveal a tech/pin style toe piece for easy uphill travel. When you’re ready for the downhill, just snap the toe piece back into place and you’re ready to rip. It’s a system that becomes second nature with very little practice, and it delivers unparalleled versatility. For skiers who spend most of their time at the resort, but need a do-it-all binding for backcountry skiing, the Duke PT delivers the ideal blend of both. This binding works equally well for folks who look for a burly binding for all their skiing, inbounds or out. We believe the Marker Duke PT 16 is ideal for folks who don’t mind exchanging a little extra weight on their uphill travel for unmatched downhill performance, while still having better touring functionality than traditional frame bindings.
